About UsFormed in 2000, the University of California Riverside Pipe Band's mission is to further the tradition, history, and culture associated with the Great Highland Bagpipe and Scottish-style drumming. Our goal is to develop and encourage local talent in a supportive environment that welcomes all participants who wish to contribute, regardless of age, gender, or background.
The UCR Pipe Band prides itself on a reputation of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct towards our own members and toward fellow pipe bands as well. The UCR Pipe Band supports the UCR Alumni Association and Athletic Association, in addition to numerous off-campus, community-based entities. |

Our Tartan
|
The colors are iconic and the pattern is entrancing. The UCR Tartan, an integral part of the larger campus, has its roots in the UCR Pipe Band. Click here to find out how we went from wearing the Caledonian Pipe Band's Ancient MacLaren tartan to being true blue and gold.
